We then prepared ourselves for the 7 hour train journey ahead.
Along the way we saw tree's, tree's oh and not forgetting this amazing group of tree's !!
There was the odd Dutch windmill too in the distance I guess. Thankfully however, we had star trek on the iPod to watch.
Had some nibbles on the train, which unbelievably was the cheapest thing we'd eaten so far.
Once arrived in Berlin we were immediately shocked by the sheer size of the station, it's colossal. We managed to find the south side exit by luck of Heather needing a tiddle. Booked the Switzerland train there and then too. Only cost us 4.50 euros to reserve seats.
Leaving the station we followed instructions provided by our hostel on how to find it.
Turns out, no matter how close the places look on the map, were in the sticks.
We noticed this more so after deciding to take a walk into Berlin centre.
Having walked down the straightest of roads, that is without doubt, at least 9000 miles long, we reached a "famous arch", don't particularly know what it is, but it looked good enough to take a picture of.
From here we trotted around other parts of centre, finding more things to take pictures of. Amsterdam is full of dangerous bikers, Berlin is full of angry, hairy joggers. "Votch ooowt!"
Got some kip after a good hour and half walk back to the hostel.
Rooms are poki, but clean at least.
Auf wiedersehn
