Turns out the landlord threw in a couple of free tickets to go on a canal trip around Amsterdam, with a tour guide thrown in too! Taking advantage of this, we hopped on the boat and saw the sights. There really is some amazing architecture out this way, and no building is the same neither. It would seem that the city is built similar to Venice, in that its mostly built on water.
After the tour and a much needed stop at the nearest McDonalds, we headed out into the wilderness that is the Red Light District.... Oh Dear! Much to our suprise, there were familys walking with children around the area, somewhat disturbing and disgusting all in one. Had to laugh at some of the "professionals" that were on display as we walked... definitely an interesting experience.
Leading on from the RLD was China-Town... Unfortunately most of it was closed, so we'll be venturing back that way tomorrow.
Heading back to the B&B we had a much needed cool drink at a local bar (Joy!).
Now back at the B&B were looking at a few hostels for Berlin on Wednesday. Not going to spend too long searching as were both really tired from the long day. See you tomorrow !
