Day 7; Switzerland/Rome

We set off to the train station early this morning so that we could have a walk through the old town in Bern. It had some amazing veiws of old buildings as well as the surrounding river.

The seven and a half hour train journey to Rome felt like a lifetime, but we got here in the end after a interchange at Milan.

Hotel is nice, we've got an en suite again, wi-fi, free breakfast, and air con which we need as it's really hot! It's in a perfect location; a 2 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance from all major attractions.

After dropping off our stuff at the hotel we went out for a meal at a local restaurant. We thought it was some of the best pasta we had ever eaten! Wine and bread to suit, we were stuffed, and after a long day of doing nothing we were really exhausted.

Just got into bed (12.30 local time).

See you tomorrow!
