Day 9; Rome/Paris

Ok, so it's been the longest travel day we've had. The horrible staff at Roma termini told us that we could not travel to France in any way shape or form because the trains were "alle fulle". Most dishelpful!

After queuing for half an hour and hearing this was not best pleasing as you can imagine. So, after much dismay we then requeued for over an hour to be told the same again. This time we weren't taking no for an answer. We told the man we don't care where, we don't car about the time taken and we certainly don't care how many changes it will take. Still; "mi scusi, alle full, next travela, day a 30!". Ok..... What about back to Bern? "Bern, yes I can do" ........

Contradictory arsehole, he didn't know what day it was, let alone any customer service skills.

Oh well, on arriving in Bern we were greated most pleasantly by the man at the reception desk. Yes, we can get you to France he says. However, after much searching and effort on his part, he couldn't find a way to get us on for free. He paused for a second and gave it one last ditch effort using a different path of travel. Success!

So after setting off at 7:30 this morning to get a train from Rome, we arrive in Paris at 20 to midnight. Very tired.

Will update in the morrow.
